Originally from Washington State, Blake Wales is thrilled to make the transition from Adelphi University to life in New York City. He has performed in regionally, Portland, Oregon in many shows, for the Oregon Children’s Theatre, most notably in the world premiere of Eric Coble’s play The Giver.

He has performed in numerous productions at Adelphi with favorite roles including Eurydice (Nasty Interesting Man), and Noises Off (Lloyd Dallas). Blake also has studied abroad at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) where he embraced the opportunity to develop his love for physical theatre and classical text. Blake has a deep passion for arts education and is a volunteer teaching artist and administrator for the NYC nonprofit, Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP) which afforded him the opportunity to travel to South Africa and South Florida and provide arts programming for underserved youth.

This summer, Blake will travel to the Philippines and India to collaborate with communities and inspire students to think creatively. Currently, he works with the New York Deaf Theatre on a show called The Signal Season of Dummy Hoy where he is combining his love of American Sign Language with visual storytelling.
